Stowe is the epitome of a pristine Vermont ski town settled in at the base of Mount Mansfield. The surrounding Green Mountains set the winter wonderland background for a postcard-perfect holiday trip to the quaint New England village.
The Country Store On Main - This iconic storefront on the main street in Stowe spent six decades as Lackey's, a favorite shop for local children and visitors. In 2016 The Country Store On Main moved in, selling housewares, fine linens and gifts. If you ever visit Stowe, you must shop here, but wait, you can still buy there online if you can't wait to visit.
We handcraft this store from 3/4" thick wood with colorful details on the front and a story on the back.
Look for Casper, our black cat mascot, hiding in a snowdrift outside the store. He's waiting to see if the crazy store doggo, Rosy, is working today!
Stowe Church - This typical New England colonial-style church building was built in 1818 in the heart of Stowe and is one of the first non-denominational churches in the U.S. At 175 feet, the steeple is the tallest in Vermont.
Add this wintery church to your holiday decor by setting it on a mantle, tabletop, windowsill, bookshelf, or the trim above a window or doorway.
Look closely, and you'll find Casper, our black cat mascot, snuggled into a snowdrift waiting for the church door to open so he can go hunting for church mice!
Lamppost - Take a walk down Stowe, Vermont Main street during a light winter snowfall at dusk, and these lampposts will brighten your way. Their style adds to the quaint New England village feeling!
We handcraft this lamppost in 3/4" thick wood in Wooster, Ohio, an 11-hour drive west of Stowe.
But, as you can see, Casper, our black cat mascot, has already made his way there and has found a purrfect spot in a snowdrift right under the glowing street light.
Green Mountain Inn- This Green Mountain Inn was built in 1833 and changed hands several times until it became the Green Mountain Inn in 1893. Located in the heart of Stowe, this historic Inn offers over 100 rooms with lovely historic charm.
Add this Inn to your holiday decor. We handcraft it from 3/4" thick wood with colorful details on the front and its story on the back.
Look for Casper, our black cat mascot, waiting for the trolly to stop by to take him to The Country Store On Main.
